Dialysis Clinic, Inc. Report Writer / Business Intelligence Analyst in Nashville (Corporate Office), Tennessee

Overview

The Report Writer / Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing, building and testing reports and dashboards based on gathered business requirements. They are responsible for validating data within reports, creating new custom reports and dashboards or modifying existing reports and dashboards as necessary. They are responsible for developing necessary SQL stored procedures, views and tables to be used with reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Create reports and dashboards using business intelligence reporting tool.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures and business uses to ensure reports meet the needs of the users.

  • Create test cases and complete accurate testing.

  • Create technical documentation of report logic and processes.

  • Development of complex SQL queries, views and stored procedures.

  • Provide end-user application support.

  • Track calls and update tickets accordingly.

  • Regularly update supervisor and/or project managers.

  • Attend weekly team meetings.

  • Follow coding standards and project management processes.

  • Perform other tasks as required.

  • Occasional off-shift availability to resolve production issues, promotion of code updates.

Qualifications

  • Possess one of the following: Associates degree (Computer Science/Information Systems); Bachelor degree (preferably Computer Science/Information Systems); or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience of analyzing, designing, developing and report generation with report writing tools.

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience developing queries, stored procedures and views in SQL. Must be familiar with table joining and indexing strategies.

  • Effectively manage multiple tasks of varying complexities

  • Strong analytical background

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Works independently and in a team collaborative environment
