Dialysis Clinic, Inc. Corporate Nurse Consultant-Hospital Services in Nashville (Corporate Office), Tennessee

Overview

DCI is currently looking for an energetic, self-motivated Hospital Services Dialysis RN to join our Corporate Hospital Services Department. This position will work remotely versus in our traditional office settings, provided the selected candidate can commit to travelling 50% or more of the time. Serves as a subject matter expert for dialysis regulations, policies and procedures.

The Hospital Services Corporate Nurse Consultant provides education and training to promote quality patient care, assists our hospital services programs across the country with regulatory compliance and improving outcomes, and observes operations and identifies opportunities for improvement.

This individual should be committed to excellence and have a quest for knowledge in our ever changing regulatory environment. The ideal candidate must have hospital dialysis nursing experience, good communication and problem solving skills and be able to translate those skills into assisting our hospital staff and business partners with challenges in all operational and clinical areas.

Responsibilities

Quality of Care:

  • Facilitates the improvement of clinical and financial outcomes in assigned DCI Hospital Services programs by helping to develop performance improvement plans based on regulations and policies.

  • Identifies alternative options/problem solving to improve outcomes and operational efficiency.

  • Assists in development of transition strategies for new Hospital Services programs to ensure safe patient care and hospital staff support during provider transitions.

  • Assists in development of plans of action required in response to hospital, CMS or accreditation agency survey.

  • Monitors progression of plan of corrections by engaging with local Hospital Services leadership to facilitate improvement.

  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled mock surveys of Hospital Services programs.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Training/Education:

  • Provides education to our Hospital Services Programs on an individual level or as group presentations.

  • Serves as mentor to Hospital Services Nurse Managers with particular emphasis on support for new Nurse Managers.

Communications:

  • Facilitates communication between local Hospital Services programs and the DCI Corporate office.

  • Communicates with Hospital Services programs on a regular basis at all assigned facilities.

  • Communicates well with Hospital Services nurse managers, technical managers, and staff using email, video and audio teleconference calls and/or one on one and on-site meetings.

Regulatory:

  • Assists with enforcement of a core group of corporate mandated policy and procedures by educating the Hospital Services locations on possible deficiencies.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on interpretation of Medicare and State dialysis regulations, CDC and Infection Control standards, Accreditation Agency standards as well as other related healthcare agencies.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited Nursing Program.

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred

  • Must have 7 years of relevant experience in hospital dialysis care

  • 3 years of dialysis clinical management experience required

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other web-based applications.

  • Maintains professional demeanor at all times

  • Works collaboratively with team members in an unstructured environment.

  • Must be willing to travel 50% or more, including visits to our corporate offices in Nashville, TN.
