Dialysis Clinic, Inc. IT Security Manager in Nashville (Corporate Office), Tennessee


Please note this position will be based in either our Nashville Corporate IT office or our Chicago IT Office, depending on the candidate that is selected for the role.

The IT security manager will lead a team of security professionals in planning and implementing programs that protect the organization from cyber threats. They work with senior leadership to plan security policies and promote a culture of information security throughout the organization. They develop programs to keep employees aware of security threats. The manager must keep up to date on IT security measures. They also supervise investigations if there is a security violation.


  • Manage IT Security operations and participates in IT planning and project management

  • Strengthen and formalize security processes within the security team and with other supporting teams.

  • Oversee and manage security projects including design, implementation, and integration of new or upgraded technologies.

  • Research the latest information technology security trends.

  • Manage industry best practice guidance and security hardening guidelines for all DCI technologies.

  • Manage, document, and communicate compliance requirements, timelines, and road map to supporting teams and leadership.

  • Monitor their organization’s networks and systems for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.

  • Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization.

  • Direct the installation and use of security tools to protect sensitive information.

  • Develop and work with supporting teams to design and implement an automated control strategy and exception reporting process.

  • Recommend security enhancements to IT Management.

  • Ensure that IT security audits are conducted periodically or as needed (e.g., when a security breach occurs).

  • Coordinate with internal teams to implement security programs.

  • Attend weekly meetings with management to resolve any issues or needs.

  • Complete Individual Status Reports (ISRs)

  • Follow documented work schedule policy

  • Take responsibility for one's own development

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Professional Security Certification (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CISM) required

  • Minimum 5 years' technical experience working in IT security operations center and/or related functions such as IT security management and architecture

  • Excellent understanding of broad spectrum of technologies to include operations system, active directory, DNS, Messaging

  • Knowledge of information security, IT infrastructure and systems development

  • Extensive knowledge of networking technologies

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server/Unix server required

  • Microsoft Project experience preferred

Other Required Competencies:

  • Fundamental knowledge of web applications protocols and web services frameworks (JAVA, APACHE, .NET) and Microsoft operating systems.

  • Enterprise firewalls & extensive LogRhythm experience.

  • Experience with multi-factor authentication, intrusion detection, and managing threat intelligence.

  • Strong decision-making skills and excellent analytical ability.

  • Ability to lead and manage technical personnel.

  • Strong self-directed work habits, exhibiting initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance and professionalism.

  • Industry knowledge of border testing, security policies, DR procedures & policies, remediation strategies and risk assessment is required.

  • Ability to complete work to given quality standards by agreed-upon deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge of IT controls, including security concepts and terminology related to applications, databases, operating systems, and IT operations.

  • Experience with data protection & archiving, disaster recovery, business continuity and implementation.

  • Strong written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to write with purpose, clarity, and accuracy.
