DCI is seeking a full-time Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist who is proficient working in a multi-state organization dealing with physician and allied staff credentialing. This person will also assist in other general legal department operations as needed. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to the success of this position.
Efficiently and accurately process credentialing and re-credentialing of providers per DCI Medical Staff and Allied Staff Bylaws and other policy and procedures.
Update and maintain confidential records of credentialing including electronic database.
Assist legal department team with general administrative tasks as needed.
Work special projects as assigned by legal department attorneys.
Preferred (not required) 1-3 years provider credentialing experience, including familiarity with NPDB, state licensure, and other verification systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and credentialing platforms.
Adaptability in learning new computer systems and credentialing processes.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Familiarity of medical terminology.
