Dialysis Clinic, Inc. Regional Operations Director, Dialysis Hospital Services in Nashville, Tennessee

Overview

The Hospital Services Area Operations Director is responsible for the overall management of assigned inpatient dialysis contracted programs in accordance with written policies established by the Board of Trustees and the Medical Directors. The position is based in Nashville, TN and will oversee our 20 plus hospital programs in the greater middle Tennessee area.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction to all DCI hospital services management and staff in the assigned region, upholding a formal means of accountability for all employees.

  • Oversees operational and financial activities of multiple dialysis inpatient hospital programs.

  • Ensures DCI facility compliance with all regulatory bodies and ESRD networks. Furnishes Federal and State agencies all data required for certification (or re-certification).

  • Ensures all QAPI and Governing Body meetings are held on a routine basis, as required by inpatient contracts.

  • Oversees the financial operation of the inpatient programs, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and inventory.

  • Participates in the development of fiscal budgets for assigned inpatient facilities, as requested.

  • Responsible and accountable for overall cost controls.

  • Works cooperatively with all departments of DCI Corporate Office and provides required reporting in a timely manner.

  • Oversees the clinical and technical operation of multiple inpatient programs and, in coordination with the inpatient facility liaisons, works to achieve clinical outcomes and benchmark goals as established by the inpatient facilities and DCI Corporate leadership.

  • Develops and maintains business relationships with Medical Directors, credentialed Nephrologists, local hospital administration, and local renal community members.

  • Assists DCI Senior Operations Director with market analysis and feasibility assessments of prospective inpatient contracts, evaluating existing inpatient contacts, and special projects.

  • Supervision may include, but is not limited to: Hospital Services Nurse Managers, Educators, Chief Technical Managers, and Business Office personnel.

  • May provide indirect supervision for other employees as needed.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, a Master's Degree is preferred

  • A degree from an accredited Registered Nursing Program required

  • Previous experience as a Dialysis Registered Nurse strongly preferred

  • Three to five years of relevant operational management experience in Dialysis Hospital Services (Acute) or a similar healthcare environment required

  • Strong hospital contract negotiation skills required
