The Dialysis Home Program Nurse Manager coordinates the administrative and clinical aspects of the Home Training Program, including the supervision of all nursing personnel in order to ensure a safe, efficient dialysis treatment for all patients.
Oversees the review, evaluation, and education of patient care in accordance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI’s CQI program and the individual clinic’s requirements.
Coordinates the implementation of the DCI, CQI and Risk Management Programs with the Quality and Risk Manager.
Collaborates with the Medical Director, and all clinical staff to resolve any problems with patient care including selection of modality.
Actively encourages and helps maintain open and free communication between staff, administration, physicians and patients.
Responsible for keeping up-to-date with changes in trends, concepts, and studies in management and nursing practices through reading, attendance at workshops, conferences, etc.
Leads administrative and staff programs and meetings - including, staff meetings, in-services, and meetings such as CQI.
With the Clinic Operations Director and Medical Director, integrates unit activity as they relate to patient care, staff education, research projects and unit expansions
Follows CDC/CMS regulations with strict reinforcement of infection control.
Coordinates with Medical Director the supervision of the Social Work, Renal Nutrition, Technical, and Nursing staff.
In coordination with the Area Operations Director, interviews, hires, and trains new employees; facilitates scheduling; conducts performance evaluations.
Must maintain current license in their state as a Registered Nurse
Two years’ experience in PD/Home Therapies required
One year experience in a supervisory role required
