Dialysis Clinic, Inc. Home Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Nurse Manager in Somerville, Massachusetts
DCI is looking for a great Home Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Nurse Manager to oversee our growing Home PD Program in Somerville, MA. This large home program of 65 patients is open Monday-Friday with rotating on call during evenings and weekends.
The Home Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Nurse Manager will coordinate the administrative and clinical aspects of the Home PD Program, including the supervision of all nursing personnel in order to ensure a safe, efficient home peritoneal dialysis treatment for all our patients.
Oversees the review, evaluation, and education of Home PD patient care in accordance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI’s CQI program and the individual clinic’s requirements.
Coordinates the implementation of the DCI, CQI and Risk Management Programs with the Quality and Risk Manager.
Collaborates with the Medical Director, and all clinical staff to resolve any problems with patient care.
Responsible for keeping up-to-date with changes in trends, concepts, and studies in management and nursing practices through reading, attendance at workshops, conferences, etc.
Leads administrative and staff programs and meetings - including, staff meetings, in-services, and meetings such as CQI.
With the Clinic Operations Director and Medical Director, integrates unit activity as they relate to patient care, staff education, research projects and unit expansions
Follows CDC/CMS regulations with strict reinforcement of infection control.
Coordinates with Medical Director the supervision of the Social Work, Renal Nutrition, Technical, and Nursing staff.
In coordination with the Area Operations Director, interviews, hires, and trains new employees; facilitates scheduling; conducts performance evaluations.
Must maintain current license in the state of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
Two years’ experience in Home Peritoneal Dialysis required.
One year experience in a supervisory role required.
