The Local Area Administrator (LAN) is the region’s chief technical resource and systems leader for all issues relating to hardware, software, networks, and digital connectivity.
Set up and configure computers / devices, to ensure users’ ability to interface with the DCI network.
Perform periodic maintenance as prescribed on all resources. Repair assets as per manufacturer and corporate protocol.
Establish and maintain a working inventory and tracking system of all IT assets.
Ensures compliance with applicable software licensing standards.
Support end users with problem resolution and proactive education. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with end users in order to maximize resource effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with all constituents, especially regarding project status, work plans, time frames, and strategies.
Understand and support DCI’s policies and procedures related to IT & HIPAA.
Plan and achieve proactive visits to end-user sites on a regularly scheduled basis, performing prescribed maintenance, control, education, and repair tasks on each visit.
Regularly communicate with DCI’s corporate IT leaders to understand and support philosophies, procedures, and projects originating at that level. Communicates those details as appropriate with regional and clinic leadership.
Develop and maintain knowledge of IT-related devices which may not be specifically dialysis-related (i.e. telephones, televisions, audio-visual systems, etc).
Support physicians and ancillary providers in maintaining remote connectivity into DCI’s IT network.
Identify, assess, and recommend adaptation strategies relevant to new IT technologies and/or their application to DCI services and needs. Supports regional initiatives involving new IT technologies and their application.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; absolute minimum of Associates degree in IT field.
Certification in Microsoft Windows and/or Office and/or Active Director.
Certification in Cisco systems and/or IOS preferred.
Working knowledge of mobile devices strongly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years working experience in IT/Network Administration.
IT experience in healthcare organization strongly preferred.
Experience in supporting remote locations.
Requires proven effectiveness in communications skills and building collaborative relationships.
