Dialysis Clinic, Inc. Dialysis Home Therapies Nurse (RN) - $10,000 sign on bonus in Syracuse, New York

The Dialysis Home Therapies Training RN educates and cares for our home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients, following up with them on a regular basis. The Dialysis Home Hemo RN also assists in the ongoing development of our local home training program.


  • Assists in the examination and evaluation of patient candidates so that appropriate Peritoneal Dialysis or Home Hemodialysis treatment and other services can be arranged.

  • Trains patients and family on the appropriate home therapies treatment modality.

  • Provides ongoing counseling and support to our home therapies patients.

  • Checks dialysis equipment and ensures it is operating properly.

  • Teaches home patients proper care between dialysis home treatments to avoid infections, instructs patients on matters of diet.

  • Keep comprehensive records of the schedule and changes in the condition of the home patient.

  • Check in with home patients by phone or during clinic visits.

  • Obtain routine laboratory work, including adequacy testing.

  • Ensure the patient is provided consultation with a Social Worker and Dietitian when needed.


  • A degree from an accredited Registered Nursing Program is required.

  • Must have a current Registered Nurse license in the state of New York

  • At least 1 year RN experience is required.

  • Previous dialysis experience preferred but not required, will train the right nursing candidate.
